About - GMB The Academy & Founder Lynne Mills

Hello & Thank you for being here!

I'm Lynne & the Founder of GMB, I started my makeup career in 2005 after training at the School of Make-Up in Manchester and later completing advanced training with internationally renowned makeup artist Val Garland.

Over the past 20 years I’ve been fortunate to work on a wide range of fashion, editorial and celebrity projects, with my work featured in publications including Vogue, Marie Claire and The Sunday Times Style Magazine, as well as leading bridal magazines.

I’ve also worked as a Lead Make-Up Artist at London Fashion Week for five years, most recently as Lead Artist and Make-Up Sponsor for designer Tran Hung at London Fashion Week.

Building yourself as a brand & succeeding in business is not just about the technique of applying make-up, but it is also knowing how to build that client base, carve your career & be a working successful make-up artist.

Through the Girl Meets Brush Online Makeup Academy, I now share my experience and industry knowledge to help support and inspire the next generation of professional makeup artists.
